Find Your Flow: What That Actually Means ✨💫

People hear the phrase “find your flow” all the time… but what does it actually mean? 🤔
For me, finding your flow isn’t about having everything perfectly figured out. It’s not about being balanced 24/7, waking up motivated every day, or magically becoming your “best self” overnight.
Finding your flow means learning how to move through life in a way that feels authentic to you. 🌊✨
It’s about creating momentum, it’s about showing up, and it’s about learning to work with yourself instead of constantly against yourself. And honestly? That took me a LONG time to learn.
My Story

I’ve been running since I was 14 years old. What started as a sport eventually became one of the biggest parts of my identity.
I went on to compete collegiately at the University of Saint Mary, where I became an 8-time All-American in cross country, track, and the marathon.
From the outside, people probably saw discipline, consistency, and success. But behind the scenes? There were also moments of burnout, pressure, self-doubt, and feeling completely disconnected from myself.
For years, I believed success meant constantly pushing harder: More miles, more work, more pressure, more expectations. And while ambition can be powerful, I eventually realized something important:
You can be highly motivated and still feel lost.
That realization changed everything for me.
Flow Isn’t Perfection
When I became a coach — and especially now as a mom 🤱 — my perspective completely shifted.
Life isn’t always going to feel organized: your motivation will come and go; your body will change; your priorities will evolve. Flow is learning how to adapt without losing yourself in the process. ✨
Some seasons of life are about grinding 🔥Some are about healing 🤍Some are about rebuilding 🛠️And some are simply about surviving 🌿
Every season matters.
What Finding Your Flow Can Look Like
Finding your flow might look like:
✅ Going on a 20-minute walk instead of skipping movement completely
✅ Starting your running journey even if you feel “slow”
✅ Building confidence in the gym 💪
✅ Learning how to fuel your body without guilt 🥗
✅ Training for a race 🏅
✅ Creating healthier habits that actually fit your lifestyle
For me personally, flow has looked different in every chapter of my life.
As a collegiate athlete 🏃♀️ → flow looked like competition and performance.
As an entrepreneur building Obsessive Drive Clothing Company and helping grow O.D. Run Club → flow looked like community and purpose 🤝⚡
Now, as a coach and mom 💖 → flow looks more like sustainability, discipline, balance, and giving myself grace while still chasing big goals.
Why I Created Flow With Alyssa 💫
I created Flow With Alyssa because I wanted people to experience fitness differently.
Not from punishment ❌Not from insecurity ❌Not from pressure ❌
But from empowerment 💖
I know what it feels like to:
✨ Start from zero
✨ Chase big goals
✨ Lose confidence
✨ Feel burnt out
✨ Rebuild yourself
✨ Learn how to love movement again
That’s why I coach people as humans first. 🤍
Whether your goal is to:
🏃 Start running
💪 Build strength
🧠 Improve your mindset
🏅 Train for races
🌱 Create healthier habits
✨ Feel confident again
…I want to help you build something sustainable that truly fits your life.
Because fitness shouldn’t feel like punishment. It should feel empowering. 🌊💖

Final Thoughts
Finding your flow doesn’t mean suddenly having everything together. It means learning how to keep moving forward — even through the messy seasons. Some days your flow will look powerful; some days it’ll look slow — Both still count 💖
You do not need to become someone else to succeed.
You just need to learn how to flow as you. 🌊💫
